Koza Gold Operations Inc. is a Turkish company to explore and operate gold mines in Turkey. Koza Gold Operations Inc. is aware of that the responsible Health and Safety management and superior Health and Safety management performance are integral to an efficient, durable and successful gold mining company. This will be achieved through leadership and the use of reliable systems that provide timely and accurate information, in a transparent manner, with support of effective decision making.
To enable Health and Safety objectives to be achieved, each Koza Gold operation will:
- Identify opportunities for improvement and set challenging standards that are congruent with community values and expectations
- Implement and maintain an environmental management system that identifies, assesses and effectively controls environmental risks to the business and community.
- Integrate environmental considerations into all aspects of the company?s activities including exploration, project development, mine expansion, acquisitions, divestments and closures.
- Design, operate and decommission all facilities and associated infrastructure to avoid or mitigate adverse environmental impact, minimize associated long term financial liability and enhance social benefit.
- Select people with appropriate qualifications and capabilities, and provide them with necessary training to ensure they are able to manage their activities in accordance with this environmental policy
- Initiate regular audit and assessment programs and embrace recommendations or improvement by prompt follow-up action.
- Consult the community on its concerns, aspirations and values regarding the development, operational and closure aspects of mineral projects, recognizing that there are links between economic, social and cultural issues.
- Communicate openly about environmental risks, incidents or emergency situations, ideas for improvement, to enable effective decision making and action.
- Demonstrate commitment to public reporting of environmental observations on management of environment in line with applicable regulations issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forestry
- Comply with all applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
