Koza Gold Operations Inc. has released a press bulletin on 17 May 2006 announcing to open the gates of Ovacik Gold Mine to the public with an aim to allow everyone to witness the implementation of world’s best available environment technology and display of sensitivity towards the human health and environment as approved by all inspections carried out during the production. The visitors who will have the opportunity to visit and tour the mine site may include universities, educational institutions, and non-government organizations local and foreign tourists. They will witness the stages of gold starting from open pit as an ore through the pouring room where it is poured to turn into a dore bullion. The visitors will be given detailed briefing of the process at the world’s best developed laboratory and treatment plant and be provided information on environment and production performances. Furthermore, they will be allowed to take pictures at the plant and in the pouring room to pose with produced gold bullions.

There have been significant increases in number of visitors to the mine site since the press release has widely drawn attention. Ovacik Gold Mine known as the first gold mine operations in Turkey has certainly become a focal point for every section of the community for its technology and environmental and production performances.

Ovacik Gold Mine has received more than 1500 visitors in 2006. Amongst these were Mr. Hilmi Guler, Minister for Energy and Natural Resources, Mr. Ali Esat Karakaya, President of International Toxicology Association, Chinese delegation who attended Ore Preparation Symposium 2006, geologists from around the world who came to Geology Conference held in Izmir, military personnel, scientists, mayors, local and foreign tourists, NGO’s, university students, primary school students, journalists and media personnel, investors and so many citizens from various business sectors.
