Himmetdede Gold Mine located between Kalaba and Himmetdede villages is 35 km northwest of Kayseri province on D260 driveway..

Mineralization on Himmetdede field is low sulphidation epithermal bed moved with thrust type fault.

Himmetdede is a project that was entirely developed and commissioned from the exploration to gold production stages by Koza personnel. Construction began in March 2013 and production was realised in January 2015. It is Koza Gold’s first heap leach type gold mine operation.

Open Pit

Production at Himmetdede will be an open pit mining. Annual average ore production will be 6 million tones and average stripping ratio will be 1:1.6. Open pit operation will be the first of Koza not engaging contractor.

Ore processing and gold production will be carried out by heap leach process. Annual average of 6 million tonnes of ore will be crushed and heaped on a liner. It is planned to produce 100 thousand ounces of gold annually.
